WEBSITE DESIGN FOR INDIVIDUALS AND SMALL BUSINESSES

Keeping It Fresh

Would you trust an old website? Depending on your business, "old" can be anything from a few months to a year.

We make it easy to do both minor and major content changes. Pages are easy to add, and can automatically show the date they were last modified.

Performers such as storytellers can give a list of upcoming events, or a summary of events they've been to recently.

Clubs and teachers can provide schedules for the next term and a summary of what they did this term.

Professionals and artists often use a blog, which is a series of articles arranged by date. They write about something, usually business-related, every week or two, so there is always fresh and current content.

Hint: If you choose a blog, remember that potential customers may read it. Do not be tempted to put in things they should not see. Also, do not start one unless you will enter content regularly, or it will look like you lost interest. Having said that, blogs are a great way to prove that you are keeping current in your field. Simple blogging is included in the basic package.

Also consider an electronic newsletter which tells people about new content on your site. Most hosts supply software to do this.
